A Chinese billionaire is reportedly seeking a "pure" bride using 5 million yuan (S$1 million) in cash as a hook.
The anonymous eligible bachelor is offering the prize money to whoever recommends an ideal woman for him.
Enterprising minds are now staging the "Billionaire Wife-seeking Show". It is allegedly this 'rich's courtship show' will be staged in 10 cities, starting with Guangzhou, Shenzhen.
In the first round, 2,800 beauties turned up for a chance to win a date with the billionaire. The youngest candidate is 19-year-old, and oldest 56-year-old.
In adition to local beauties, there were also applicants from Australia and Singapore. They came from varied backgrounds, such as a yoga instructor, university teacher, financial analyst, Boston University student, and even a beauty queen.
Only 320 women made it through to the second phase to be held at Guangzhou Garden Hotel.
The qualities the organisers are looking for are that they are single; aged aged 18-28, with height of 160-175cm; with a college degree or above; ; outstanding body figure and appearance; and “original” (without plastic surgery).
